This outstanding effort displays loads of cassis fruit interwoven with notions of espresso roast, white chocolate, and menthol. It possesses a terrific front end, good mid-section, and moderately high tannin in the finish. Approximately 15,000 cases were produced.
Raspberry and blackberry aromas follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with velvety tannins and a caressing finish.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
