Better from bottle than it was in cask, the deep plum/ruby-tinged 2003 Certain de May offers scents of cedar, dried herbs, roasted meats, and black cherries. Supple and medium-bodied with good flavor depth as well as soft but moderate tannin, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 10-12 years.
Beautiful aromas of plums and chocolate follow through to a full body, with soft tannins and a long finish.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
