Dany and Michel Rolland's home estate has produced a dense, ruby/purple-colored wine with an intriguing perfume of espresso, sweet vanilla, and black cherry jam. It is powerful and concentrated for a 1999. This medium to full-bodied, moderately tannic Pomerol is atypically structured, with plenty of grip, length, and intensity. It is a superb effort for the vintage
Lovely wine. Plummy, minty and earthy on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied, with medium, velvety tannins and a vanilla, berry aftertaste. Needs some time to come around.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 17/20 points.
