From the upper part of Le Bas des Teurons. 2 barrels made, which is in fact a full crop having pulled some out. Fresh mid crimson. A little red fruit on the nose, but not demonstrative. Tighter on the palate, with some tannins to finish, but the fruit is attractive and harmonious.
A fresh if quite somber nose features notes of various dark berries, earth and a violet top note. The nicely rich and generously proportioned middleweight flavors possess an almost delicate mouthfeel while delivering solid length on the balanced finish that is shaped by nicely fine-grained tannins. This could use better depth but a few years of keeping should address that.
