Tasted blind, the 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières was showing well, offering up a nutty bouquet of green orchard fruit and honeysuckle that's framed by a touch of reduction that dissipates with air. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with bright acids, serious concentration and a long, saline finish. It's quite closed today, but it's an excellent example of Genevrières in Jobard's reductive style.
