The highest natural degree of alcohol came courtesy of the 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Cailleret at 13.5%. It has a fragrant bouquet with touches of apricot blossom and white peach that is beautifully defined. It is only with a few swirls that the mineralite surfaces. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, great tension and a poised, tense finish. This already has a sense of completeness that bodes well for the future.
