90-92
Aromas of lemon oil, green apples, toasted nuts and oyster shell introduce the 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien, a medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy wine with excellent underlying cut and tension, concluding with a chalky finish.
90-92
The 2017 Saint-Aubin les Murgers des Dents de Chien 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction tasting it directly from vat, although it gradually dissipates to reveal cheeky hints of mint chocolate that combine seamlessly with the malic aromas. The palate is very well balanced with quite a phenolic opening. There is commendable depth here, quite grippy for a white Burgundy with lemongrass lining the finish. Excellent.
Mostly domaine but with some purchased fruit. Bright mid yellow. This has excellent weight and with a vibrant saline note at the end. Very promising.
