Revealing aromas of pear, citrus zest, pastry cream and toasted hazelnuts, the 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Charmois is medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegantly muscular, with a concentrated core of fruit, lively acids and chalky grip on the finish.
With 10 barrels, this is the largest volume 1er cru St-Aubin in the bachelet cellar. Pale lemon yellow, a lightly reductive nose in struck match style. Excellent intensity here, fills the front of the mouth and continues through behind. Yellow fruit with a faint banana note behind, very good length and acidity.
