A lightly smoky nose displays notes of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and a hint of fennel. There is excellent intensity to the beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors that are also markedly saline and agreeably dry and refreshing. This needs to add more depth to achieve my rating, but it should be able to do that if allowed a few years of bottle aging.
This comes from Les Travers du Marinot section. Fine pale primrose, a little more concentration while retaining the stricter character. Pure white fruit, fattening out just a little at the finish, a touch of liquorice, attractive and ripe enough.
