The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Village has a crisp, stony, Granny Smith apple-scented bouquet that is tightly wound, but you have to admire the mineralité conveyed here considering that this is a village cru. The palate is well balanced with pear, peach skin and ginger notes, maybe just a little too phenolic on the finish for my liking, but a white Burgundy that is full of character.
