Robert Parker (91)

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Ancegnières is suaver and more immediately textural than its more structured Vieilles Vignes counterpart, revealing aromas of pear, honeycomb, beeswax, dried flowers and oatmeal, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless palate.

Vinous (91)

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Ancegnières, which was not produced last year, has a relatively light, stony bouquet with hints of lemon thyme and broom. The palate is well-balanced with crisp acidity. It’s one of the spicier cuvées from the Domaine with a prolonged finish, though my overall feeling is that this will be one of the earlier drinking offerings this vintage.

Burghound (92)

Here the expressive nose displays a phenolic note on the ripe aromas of mostly white orchard fruit, petrol and a hint of rosemary oil. There is fine richness and density to the bigger-bodied and more powerful flavors that exhibit fine length on the very dry but not really austere finale. This offers excellent quality for its level and is a wine that should also repay up to a decade of keeping. Also recommended.

Jasper Morris (93)

Pale lemon colour. The bouquet is very attractive, detailed, slightly floral, little points of ripe citrus, plenty of energy through the middle, maybe more angular than a Puligny-Montrachet Enseignères would be, but with grace refinement and persistence. Lovely finish.
