Robert Parker (94)

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot is sensual and charming, offering up aromas of peach, hazelnuts, white flowers, baking spices and iodine. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and suave, with a fleshy core of fruits racy acids and a saline finish, this will offer a broad drinking window.

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot 1er Cru has a wonderful, lively bouquet with effervescent white peach, quince, citrus peel and lemon thyme scents, a sense of mineralité surfacing with aeration. The palate is very well-balanced with fine delineation. There’s complex and captivating mineral-rich citric fruit with seamlessly integrated oak on the finish. This is one of my picks from the Domaine in this vintage.

Burghound (92)

Smoky white orchard fruit aromas are trimmed in floral and soft wood nuances. There is excellent volume to the enveloping, round and highly seductive medium-bodied flavors that also coat the palate with dry extract on the mildly rustic if lingering finale. This too could use better depth so at least a few years of keeping is advised.

Jasper Morris (94)

A fine pale lemon. The bouquet is delicious, refined gentle orchard fruit, with a little reduction too, quite refined citrus notes, but pure white fruit too. This is not a massive Morgeot, though there is adequate structure behind.
