Revisited in bottle, the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Houillères displays aromas of white flowers, almond paste, citrus oil and green apple. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, with racy acids and a delicate core of fruit, it's showing nicely.
35 year old vines being made in barrels originating between 2011 and 2015. It will stay in them, unracked through to February for bottling in April. 13.3% alcohol. Pale lemon colour. Exuberant ripe pear and yellow plum notes, with a nice touch of barrel. Fills the mouth generously, with a flavour/texture combination reminiscent of vanilla and custard creme.
