The 2013 Pommard 1er Cru les Pezerolles lost 70% of its crops due to flowering and of course, hail, during the growing season. It has a light, slightly earthy and introspective bouquet at the moment, as if still recovering from that trauma. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, slightly chalky tannins and a keen thread of acidity. It just cuts away a little abruptly toward the finish. Drink this over the next 6-8 years.
