This wine from a parcel located near the top of the vineyard, to the left of the castle, offers a similar color and a plummy, super-ripe, and toasty nose. Flowers, sweet red cherries, blueberries, and currants can be found in this medium-to-full-bodied, well-crafted, and immensely juicy wine.
Built like a rock, but with the deep fruit to balance. Clean, pure and well made, this full-bodied red presents a firm backbone of tannins and cold fruit for now, suggesting it's built for the long term. Magnificent red- and blackberry flavors zoom across the palate, delivering mineral-laden and earth-oriented spicy notes that will need time to integrate with the tough, woodsy finish. As big as it is, this wine doesn't tire the palate.
