The 2012 Bourgogne Rouge comes from a 0.27-hectare parcel of 30-year old vines, so there is not even a great deal of their entry-level wine. It had been racked the previous day. The aromatics appear clean and pure with dark cherry and blueberry scents. The palate is nicely balanced with plenty of red cherry and dark plum fruit. Nice weight here – this should be a decent Burgundy Rouge.
