Saturated ruby-black in hue, the 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village offers up aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, licorice, rose petal and expresso roast, subtly framed by new wood. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and dense, with surprising reserves of fine-grained extract, succulent acids and an expansive finish. It's unusually rich and concentrated in the context of the vintage.

Both ripe and savoury on the nose. Very ripe but very fresh. Silky tannins with lovely fruit density. Deep fruited and so supple. Juicy and fresh. (JH)
