This year, the 2013 Côtes de Nuits Village was blended with fruit from Fixin and it seems to have “bolstered” this wine. It has an appealing mint and violet-scented bouquet that is bashful at first, but opens with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins, crisp red cherries and cranberry fruit with decent structure on the finish. Enjoy this fine Côtes de Nuits Village over the next four or five years.
