Displaying more of a sweet fruit character than is usual for young wine of its appellation, the Drouhin 2005 Corton Bressandes smells of plum, mace and beef marrow. In the mouth, a tactile chalk dust, crushed stone impression and sweet florality link to bright, intense fresh plum and black raspberry for a surprisingly extroverted, almost extravagant (not to forget persistent) display.
