The 2009 Mazoyeres-Chambertin is one of the most structured wines in this lineup. The concentration of fruit is beautifully balanced by the intense minerality of the wine. This really gains power and explosiveness on the palate-staining finish. The heavy presence of rocks in this site is felt in the salinity of the close. Finesse and power. It’s all there in the Mazoyeres. Dugat used 100% whole clusters here. Anticipated maturity: 2029-2049.
