Another small parcel that formerly informed Barthod's Chambolle Village this year yielded one-and-a-half barrels of 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers, a beautifully high-toned wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of raspberries, Griotte cherries, orange rind and rose petal. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and fine-boned, with excellent depth at the core and a long, mineral and perfumed finish. It's a welcome addition to the range.
