The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Fuées has one of the richest aromatics from Ghislaine this year, with quite opulent red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, intermixed with orange peel and cold stone scents. It gains cohesion quickly in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite solid, firm tannins. This has the most structure of Ghislaine's wines with a fine thread of acidity, though it needs just a tad more finesse to develop on the finish, which I am sure it will knowing this vineyard. Serious and compelling - for those with patience! I expect this to fall at the top of my banded score.
