Reduction but much milder. The rich, supple and highly energetic medium weight flavors possess excellent mid-palate density and plenty of dry extract that imparts a velvety mouth feel to the firm but not hard and beautifully complex finale. This is a serious but not especially closed Boudots and one that should drink reasonably well after only 5-ish years or so if your preference is for youthful fruit.
