Jasper Morris MW: A blend from 8 different 1ers crus, clear pure pink purple, a refined and distinguished nose with a fruit that speaks of the elegant side of the appellation, backed with slightly firmer tannins to keep it all in place for the longer term.
Overripe cherry fruit. Fleshy mouthfeel, with chalky tannins and medium body. Falls between the styles of their Gevrey (bold) and Chambolle (floral) and as a result is either the best of both worlds or neither one nor the other, depending on your preference. There’s excellent fruit definition but it seems to lack the personality of his other crus. (RH)
