The 2015 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru will be the last vintage made by Mark Haisma, as the vineyard parcel has been sold (Etienne Grivot told me the same thing, so presumably it is the same parcel that henceforth will be tended by Christophe Roumier). It has a ripe black cherry and cassis-scented bouquet with the voluptuousness one seeks from this vineyard. The palate is nicely balanced with fine delineation, a little foursquare maybe for a Bonnes Mares but with very commendable length. A fine valedictory send-off.
Very sweet and charming with fine tannins and very grand cru in its deportment. Lip-smacking. Long. Edge of green.?
