Vauversin's NV Brut Original Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a 100% Chardonnay based on two vintages, each 50%: The 2011 part underwent the malolactic fermentation whereas the 2012 did not. Vanilla and pear aromas on the nose migrate to a very pure, delicate and elegant, quite aromatic palate. This Brut has a fine mousse and a good complexity and length. Its finish is slightly sweet. This Champagne was disgorged in February 2015 with a dosage of 8 grams per liter.
Quite a deep gold for an NV – some age? Very fine mousse. Well balanced nose and very good quality for the price. Quite dense and mature. Dry, toasty and no hint of added sweetness. A real bargain.
ORIGINAL is the emblematic cuvée of the House. It is a blended champagne, made up of wines of the year and reserve wines, most of which are kept in oak barrels. Created for the aperitif.
