The Réserve Orpair Grand Cru is a 100% Chardonnay picked in 2008 and fermented and aged in 15 to 20 years old Burgundian pièces. Very clear, fresh and complex on the nose and just with a hint of oak this citric-fresh, mineral, straight and well structured Blanc de Blancs is still very young but reveals a good complexity and length and should develop well over the years. Because of the higher acidity in 2008 it has been disgorged with a dosage of 6 grams per liter after the wine had spent seven years on the lees.
ORPAIR is a multi-parcel of OGER (places: Chênets, Bellevoyes and Gallois). Vines over 30 years old grown on a slope perfectly exposed to early maturity. Rich soil, with light and well degraded clay with rising flint, the chalk is deep there. This wine is vinified as soon as it leaves the press in old oak barrels (more than 20 years old). Perfect as an aperitif or with a meal.
