The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Hints of lemongrass leave the front of the mouth tingling while it glides towards a very harmonious, almost understated, raisin-tinged finish that belies that power. It will age beautifully over the next decade – but it does deserve a cellar.
100% Grenache Noir. Made with friend Stéphane to show they can make a young Maury even if there is hardly any market for it in France. Picked late (beginning of October). Kept in tank, just to show the early stage of these wines.
Deep crimson, port-like colour. Rather simple, brutal flavours. Finishes a bit suddenly.
