Additional depth here, compared to the standard Barolo bottling, as well as a longer palate, making for a compelling wine with some aging potential. The tannins are firm and carry decent fruit flavor in a sturdy mode. Drink or hold.

Bright, noble ruby red. In the nose, mint and young cherries, elderberries and hints of iodine. Full bodied palate with tight, dense tannin, full, tension-loaded, salty finish.

This radiant, perfumed red opens with enticing scents of fragrant purple flowers, woodland berries and aromatic herbs with a whiff of tilled earth. The delicious palate is elegant and enveloping, doling out juicy Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry, cinnamon and star anise. It's already approachable but will also offer years of enjoyment thanks to polished tannins and bright acidity. Drink through 2029. Kerin O’Keefe
