With robust fruit exclusively sourced from Serralunga d'Alba, the 2014 Barolo Ornato is a bold and loosely knit red wine. Keeping in line with the characteristics of this celebrated vineyard site, the wine offers extra density, softness and texture. The results are plump with ripe fruit, spice and Spanish cedar. The finish is smooth and silky. This vintage of Pio Cesare's single-vineyard Barolo is better consumed in the near and medium term. The wine is aged in botte grande and barrique.
This is very spicy and fruity one with perfumed and bright aromas. Leather, too. Medium-bodied, refined and layered with beautiful ripe tannins. Fine, polished texture with berry and walnut undertones.
