This is tight and closed now but shows plenty of orange peel, berry, strawberry and floral character. Medium to full body. Tannins are integrated and velvety textured.
The 2019 Barolo Fossati captures all the strong savory and mineral character that is typical of this site. Dried flowers, chalk, mint, white pepper and bright red-toned fruit are all finely delineated. This nervy, sculpted Barolo has a ton to offer. As always, the Fossati is a wine of tension more than volume. That quality is very much on show today.
