Lots of rose petal notes here with pure fruit like raspberries and fresh strawberries. Full and powerful with lots of tannins yet the core of fruit is fresh and beautiful. It’s not overly chewy or aggressive. It shows purity and focus. A fantastic wine. Drink after 2029.
The 2019 Barolo Brunate is a dark, virile wine. In other words, classic Brunate. Black cherry, licorice, sage, menthol, licorice, dried herbs, lavender and graphite are some of the many notes that build as this potent, strapping Barolo shows off its irrepressible personality. This is one of the most impressive Barolos I have tasted from Roberto Voerzio in quite some time.
