Robert Parker (92)

The superior level of 2001 compared to its immediate predecessor could not be more obvious in the 2001 Siepi, a pioneering Sangiovese-Merlot blend and still a touchstone for this category in Tuscany. Very ripe and sweet on the nose, with an important and balanced contribution of cloves, cedar, and cinnamon from the oak, it is lush, fleshy, and succulent in flavor, well supported by silky tannins but with an inner core of strength which promises fine drinking

Winespectator (92)

Luscious blackberry, blueberry and milk chocolate aromas. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a long, caressing finish. A beauty.
