Absolutely gorgeous nose, with plum, Indian spices and blackberry. Full-bodied, with lots of dark chocolate, spices and vanilla. This is so young. Wonderfully silky and refined. I always loved the mint, berry and spice character in this wine and the layers of fruit and fine tannins. Amazing.--1997 Italian blind retrospective.
