Impressive dark ruby color. Supersubtle yet complex aromas of blackberry, coffee, mineral and hints of new oak. Full body, yet very silky texture, with smoky blackberry and fresh plum flavors. Wonderfully caressing on the finish. This will improve for many years to come, but why wait?--1997 Italian blind retrospective.
