The 2010 Rosso di Montalcino is pretty, layered and subtle. Sweet red cherries, flowers, mint and raspberries are all layered together in this finely sculpted, delineated wine. Feminine, gracious and beautifully balanced, the 2010 stands out for its balance and harmony. Overall, the 2010 is quite soft and accessible, both for the year and also relative to prior vintages of comparable quality. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.
