Medium raspberry, pink rim; a slightly smoky fragrance works well with generous aromas of ripe cherry fruit. On the palate invigorating acidity puts juice and freshness in the fruit, a cool stony minerality adds intrigue. Noble restraint in the use of oak pays off with early drinking pleasure.
The 2016 Eichberg Spätburgunder GG is deep, ripe, fine and fresh on the nose, indicating good concentration and mineral purity. Full-bodied, lush and powerful on the palate, with very fine tannins and a long, tightly woven and concentrated finish, this is another outstanding Eichberg Pinot from Fritz Keller.
