The 1996 Riesling Brand is completely dry. Made from 45-year old vines, this wine possesses a medium gold color, and an exotic, malt-like nose intermixed with Asian spices, honeyed fruit, and underbrush. In the mouth, there is Montrachet-like richness, fabulous concentration, a multi-layered personality, and an exceptionally long finish that lingers for 40+ seconds. This stunning, dry Riesling was made from modest yields of 28 hectoliters per hectare.
Almost hypnotic for the spice, mineral and red berry perfumes that burst from the glass, this lovely white delivers exotic flavors of passion fruit and mineral on a framework that's lean and intense yet rich and full-bodied simultaneously, followed by an endless finish.
