A sleeper of the vintage from sculptor Michel Gracia, this 2007 was cropped at 21 hectoliters per hectare, but there is hardly any of it. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, it reveals abundant notes of crushed rocks, acacia flowers, blueberries, and black raspberries in a medium to full-bodied, intensely concentrated style with no hard edges. Drink it over the next decade or more.
a 90/10 blend of merlot and cabernet franc) Dark red. Currant, musky herbs, medicinal licorice and a whiff of black olive on the nose. Supple, sweet and easygoing, with a lightly herbal quality and good energy to the redcurrant and tobacco flavors. Finishes with dusty tannins and moderate persistence.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 17/20 points.
