The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses has a delightful bouquet with lifted citrus scents intermingling with almond and just a touch of shortcake. The palate is medium-bodied with fine acidity and tension, just a touch of spiciness betraying the vineyard, the richness developing toward the finish with commendable length and residual salinity. I would like to see more spiciness and more assertiveness, though maybe that might come through with bottle age.
