Initially this had a borderline lactic suggestion on the nose. However, with extended aeration, the lactic character slowly dissipated as the aromas became progressively more classic Genevrières with its essence of pear and acacia blossom. The middle weight flavors possess a refined mouth feel as well as evident minerality on the cool, pure and admirably well-balanced finale. Lovely stuff that is clearly still improving so I would suggest allowing this at least a few more years of bottle age first.
