Revealing leesy and sweet vanilla bean scents, the Meursault Rougeots is silky-textured and thick. This sultry, ample, medium-to-full-bodied wine is both extraordinarily spicy and filled with candied nuts and acacia blossoms. If its oak-dominated finish is absorbed by its copious fruit, this complex and concentrated wine may merit a higher score.
Very attractive oak treatment, showing toasted, spicy notes. Silky on the midpalate, but lacking in ripe fruit that would give it the balance of an outstanding wine.
