Offering up aromas of pear, melon, white flowers and nutmeg, the 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Encégnières is medium to full-bodied, satiny and gourmand, with a fleshy core of fruit underpinned by bright acids that temper its generosity of fruit.
Pretty aromas of acacia blossom enjoy added breadth from ripe white orchard fruit and discreet citrus nuances. The beautifully textured, fleshy and round medium-bodied flavors possess excellent density and particularly so for a villages-level wine, all wrapped in a saline, palate coating and long finish. This is impressive for its level and very much recommended.
