Attractive pale primrose. The fruit starts discreetly on the nose, but does not take long to build. There is indeed a huge volume on the palate, but it is all in balance, with a fresh saline acidity behind the clean yellow fruit. All very nicely put together. A few bacon notes emerge too, but no feeling of undue heat. All in all, this is an intense and tightly wound Bâtard-Montrachet with a promising future.
