The 2012 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is from exchanged fruit, one from the Pernand side and the other from Aloxe “Les Longuettes”. Jean-Nicolas hopes that this is going to be made every year. It has an attractive bouquet with scents of sea spray joining the crisp citrus fruit with light honeysuckle emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a waxy entry, well-judged acidity and it fans out nicely towards the honeycomb and lime tinged finish. This is a lovely Corton-Charlemagne that should age over the next 10 or 15 years.
