The 2000 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes, from some of the estate's oldest vines, was vinified and aged in 40% new oak barrels. It explodes from the glass with sweet minerals and hints of buttered toast. Dense and deep, this is a medium to full-bodied wine with an ample, white fruit-filled personality and a long, soft finish. It is concentrated, intense, and powerful, yet retains the elegance that has made this village world-renowned.
