The dark ruby-colored 1997 Clos Vougeot reveals spicy and earthy blackberry scents. This is a big, broad, dense wine, packed with intensely ripe fruit. Tar, licorice, and eucalyptus are intermingled with briary blackberries in this medium to full-bodied, structured, and impressively long-finishing offering.
Firmly packed with black fruit (plum and black cherry), this full-bodied, brooding red has well-integrated wood tannins, but the spicy oak, mocha and chocolate take over on the lingering finish.
