Very pale ruby-brick colour. Wonderfully open, fragrant nose of rose petals, dried cranberries, iron ore, cinnamon and cardamom. The palate reveals the most approachable wine of the 1995 DRC line-up giving plenty of opulent fruit supported by crisp acidity and a low to medium level of silky tannins. Very long spicy finish.
Beautiful wine, with a hint of exotic rose petal, violet and oak aromas. Full-bodied, silky, showing nice mocha, spice and blackberry character, more fruit than terroir. Deftly made. Ripe, suave finish. More delicate and lighter than DRC's Grands Echézeaux.
