A more subtle application of wood sets off the cool and super-fresh aromas of both red and dark berries, earth and more prominent sauvage hints. I very much like the texture of the medium-bodied flavors primarily thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins supporting the suave yet tension-filled finale that offers better depth on the lingering finale. This fine Gevrey villages should repay 5 to 8 years of keeping.
Glowing fresh purple. A beautiful nose, very classic Bachelet. Light on its feet but with a sensual energy and just a little touch of pepper at the finish. This takes me back to Bachelet wines of the 1980s before they became so concentrated. Fine attractive red fruit finish. Drink from 2025-2032.
