The 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a perfumed bouquet with dark cherry fruit, blackcurrant and briary tinged with fine mineralite - hints of cold stone percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannin, good depth of fruit and crucially a keen line of acidity that maintains the tension. There is a subtle spicy, almost white pepper element to this Clos Vougeot that becomes more accentuated as it gently fans out on the finish. This is a very impressive Clos de Vougeot.

Pretty dark crimson. Intriguing savoury nose. Very juicy on the palate and well etched. A little dry on the end. Good life ? real energy on the finish, which is still a bit dry thanks to the whole-bunch component.
